How to switch off your Popcorn Hour A-200 and silence that noisy fan
Are you also fed up with that noisy fan in your newly bought Popcorn Hour A-200? Well I was and the the manual provided no solution. When I bought the Popcorn I thought I had bought a modern, silent, multimedia tank and that’s all true, but the fan makes a lot of nice in your quiet living room. So what do you need to do?
Press the off-switch on the remote control for 5 seconds!
That’s all you need to do….it’s not in the manual, you will see the light at the front go from a dimmed white to a bright red and…it’s off, including that noisy fan. Like to switch it on again? Press the on switch on the remote, it will take some time to boot, but at least your Popcorn is now nice and quiet as it should be.

Current location online again
As some of you might know I am the developer of GG-Tracker. An early solution on how to track your mobile phone using either GSM cell location and/or GPS. Development always goes forward and since there are now out-of-the-box solutions I would like to present a very simple, lightweight solution for tracking and tracing.
The map above shows you my current location using my iPhone with iOS4 and the app Latitudie. It’s simple solution that does not require a webserver and more like GG-Tracker which is available at http://gg-tracker.eppenga.com/.

Geld terug van T-Mobile
Helemaal gelukkig was ik niet dat mijn mobiele telefoon het een tijdje geleden zo slecht deed, maar ik moet ook zeggen, T-Mobile heeft netjes op mijn klachten gereageerd en ook nog geld terug gegeven. Netjes!

Mijn ervaring met mijn Van Moof fiets
Vorige week kreeg ik mijn nieuwe Van Moof fiets binnen! Natuurlijk als een kind zo blij, want dit was de fiets waar ik al heel lang naar had uitgekeken. Een fiets die gewoon een fiets is en ook een, naar mijn mening, mooi design.
De afhandeling van Van Moof is netjes, je wordt op de hoogte gehouden van wanneer welke fase in het bestelproces is bereikt en ook van de vervoerder kreeg ik netjes een telefoontje wanneer het uitkwam om de fiets te bezorgen. Begreep wel eerst niet wat hij bedoelde met, “Meneer, ik heb hier een kartonnetje met een fiets, wanneer wilt u die hebben?”

Nieuwe badkamer door Schwagermann Maasdijk
Aangezien in ons huis geen bad aanwezig was toen we het kochten besloten we die te laten plaatsen. We twijfelden eerst of we een aannemer of loodgieter moesten inhuren, aangezien er in de keuken ook een muur verwijderd moest worden. Na een telefoontje met Bouwbedrijf J.J. de Haas was het ons duidelijk, dit bedrijf zei gewoon eerlijk: “Meneer, hiervoor heeft u een loodgieter nodig.” Dat ze hiermee de opdracht misliepen begrepen ze, maar zij gingen uit van de klant, hulde hiervoor!
Na wat offertes te hebben opgevraagd bij diverse loodgieters besloten we te kiezen voor Schwagermann Maasdijk. Reden hiervoor was dat de heer Schwagermann die de offerte kwam opnemen als professioneel en meedenkend uit de bus kwam. De offerte was inzichtelijk, geen stelposten en andere zaken en het bedrijf zag er ook netjes uit. Bovendien was dit ook het bedrijf dat Bouwbedrijf J.J. de Haas aangaf als tip.
